Marvel has released the cover image and a description of the Civil War: Choosing Sides one-shot comic that is due in stores on October 25th.  The full color 48-page comic includes five Civil War-related stories featuring some of Marvel's mighty, but lesser, superheroes and villains including Iron Fist, U.S. Agent, the Irredeemable Ant Man, Venom, and, yes, Howard the Duck.

With Marvel's superheroes combating each other during Civil War, there is plenty of room for the psychotic symbiote Venom to maneuver, and he appears to be getting away with plenty in the story written by Marc Guggenheim and penciled by Leinil Yu.

It's no surprise that Iron Fist and his former partner Luke Cage are backing Captain America's Anti-Registration crew, and readers should note that the 'Iron Fist' story by Matt Fraction and David Aja leads into a new Iron Fist ongoing series from Fraction, Brubaker and Aja that debuts this November.

Robert (Marvel Zombies) Kirkman and Phil Hester introduce a new superhero who is anything but altruistic in the story of a low-level S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who discovers Hank Pym's prototype for a new Ant-Man suit and becomes The Irredeemable Ant-Man (who also gets a new on-going series based on his performance in this story).

Meanwhile Michael Avon Oeming and Scott Kolins team up to tell the story of John Walker, aka U.S. Agent, who once took up the mantle of Captain America, but now has to decide whether to serve the government or remain loyal to the man whose legend he attempted to uphold.

Finally Ty Templeton answers the most burning question of the entire Civil War saga -- does a surly alien waterfowl Master of Quack Fu have to register?  Find out in 'Civil War: I'm With Howard!'
