John Weddleton of Bosko's in Anchorage, AK, saw the interview with Dan Buckley (see 'Interview with Marvel Publisher Dan Buckley, Pt. 2') and wants to let publishers know that promotional postcards should be designed so retailers can easily mail them:

[In reference to] your interview with Dan Buckley, 'Then we're using all the traditional methods for the hobby shops:  providing them with postcards...'

The postcards are not formatted in a way that lets us address them and mail them out.  They do not have the clear area the Post Office wants for an address and barcode so they have to go out at the First Class rate.  Usually when we slap an address label on them, it covers the art or info so the impact is diminished.

Because of that, we end up using them as bag stuffers.  That's okay, but the postcards would be more useful if we could mail them to customers.

I hope you can pass this along to the Marvel, DC and Dark Horse marketing people.
