On March 8th Tenacious Games will release The Spoils First Edition Part 2, a set of 165 new cards filled with great art and the irreverent humor that characterize this tournament-focused CCG targeting serious players from 15-30. The Spoils, which launched 11 weeks ago at Gen Con SoCal, has already developed a solid following. Tenacious Games CEO Scott Dodson has informed ICv2 that the first printing of pre-constructed Trade Decks has sold out. 'Sales of The Spoils have definitely been higher than our expectations for all our product SKUs, but the demand for the Trade Decks was clearly much higher than we anticipated,' he said. 'We actually bumped up the print run by 25% at the last minute because we had early indicators of high demand. We should have doubled the run. The combination of a low MSRP ($7) and a large number of new players coming into the game sparked very brisk sales of the Trade Decks.' Tenacious plans to have the Trade Decks available again for the release of The Spoils First Edition Part 2 on March 8th.
Tenacious Games also announced the locations of The Spoils Tournament Experience Release Invitationals, which will be held on March 4th in 19 cities across the
Hundreds of players have already qualified to play in the Invitationals and last chance Invitational Qualifiers will continue to run through the weekend of February 28th providing players looking to participate opportunities to win a spot at the March Invitationals.
