Rio Grande Games is planning to release Race for the Galaxy, a  new science fiction adventure game, in June or July.  Designed by Tom Lehmann, Race for the Galaxy (MSRP $34.95) takes about 45 to 60 minutes to play as 3-5 participants (ages 12 and up) compete to explore the galaxy by discovering new worlds and developing new technologies.  In Race for the Galaxy game play there is an interesting twist, while each player initiates a specific action with every turn, the other players share in the actions chosen.
