Wizards of the Coast is marketing to college students this year to recruit new Dungeons and Dragons players.  In print, WotC is advertising in comics from Devil's Due and Dark Horse, and in Geek Monthly (the new magazine from the publisher of Cinefantastique).

WotC is also participating in the College Television Awards, which will be broadcast by MTV-U, by participating in an online promotion on the MTV-U Website that will reach an aggregate of one million college age consumers.  The online promotion will kick off in mid-April.  MTV-U is MTV's on-campus TV network, which is aired to over 800 college campuses in North America.  The D&D Special Edition Player's Handbook will also be included in the celebrity gift bag at the awards ceremony.

And to support college-based RPG clubs, WotC has allocated $20,000 for grants that can be used by the clubs for meeting space, launching a Website, food for gatherings, local marketing, or other uses.
