Score has announced its 2002 releases for the Dragon Ball Z CCG, which include four new games/expansions as well as a cool limited edition collector case and cards. The Capsule Corp Power Pack is scheduled for release April 15 in a limited edition of less than 15,000, and is still available at wholesale as of this writing. This collector product will include cards available nowhere else in a 350+ card carrying case that can hold up to four tournament-sized decks (including card sleeves). Unique cards in the Power Pack include fifteen new foil Main Personality Cards, eight Game Boy Advance Cards, 2 Tuff Enuff Only Cards, and an Alternate Art Foil Frieza Saga Card. The Capsule Corp Power Pack carries an MSRP of $24.95.
Score also plans a number of releases in its standard starter and booster or straight booster formats. First up are the Cell Games Saga boosters, the limited version of which will be released April 22, with the unlimited version scheduled for May 6. These are not to be confused with Cell Saga starters and boosters, which have been tearing up our Top 10 Cool Games charts for the last several months (see 'Score Back to Press on Cell Saga' and 'Top 10 Cool Games'). The World Games Saga starters and boosters, which will be released in limited version August 19 and in unlimited September 2, is a departure for Score, in that it will be based on three different sagas from the anime--the Celestial Games Saga, the Great Saiyaman Saga, and the World Games Saga -- rather than on one as has been the case in the past. October will see Babidi Saga boosters, with the limited version due for release October 14 and the unlimited on October 28. And last but not least will be the Buu Saga, which will be released in late 2002.
