We'd been hearing about confusion over the release schedule for the Judgment expansion for Magic:  The Gathering, which is starting to arrive now, so we checked with Wizards of the Coast.  We were told by a WotC spokesperson that the official street date for Judgment is Monday, May 27th, Memorial Day.  Premiere stores are allowed to sell the product beginning Saturday, May 25th.  Since delivery services will not be delivering on Monday, distributors are being allowed to land product on Friday; this does not affect the street date.

WotC has had considerable confusion over its release dates in the past (see 'Wizards of the Coast Readies New Street Date Policy'), most recently for its new Star Wars CCG (see 'Gamestop Breaks Release Date on Star Wars CCG').  If there are problems with some retailers selling Judgment early, at least it will be a matter of a few days rather than a few weeks as was the case on the Star Wars CCG.
