Paizo Publishing’s Pathfinder RPG already has a slew of products scheduled for release in 2009 (see “’Pathfinder RPG’ Core Rulebook in August”), and the company recently announced its early 2010 release schedule. The products range from basic tools and resources to standalone modules to multi-part “adventure paths” to additional entries in the Pathfinder Chronicles line, exploring various aspects of the Pathfinder RPG world in detail.

 

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: GameMastery Guide is an essential tool for GMs running a Pathfinder game and is the last of the “big three” core set releases (along with the Core Rulebook and the Pathfinder Bestiary (see “’Pathfinder Bestiary’ in September”)). The 320-page, full-color hardcover tome covers everything from campaign basics to time-saving and creativity tips to rules and advice for weather, common NPCs, diseases, and world-building. The GameMastery Guide has a street date of Feb. 17 and an MSRP of $39.99.

 

Another tool for GMs, the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: GM’s Screen, hits stores Sept. 23, 2009 and has an MSRP of $14.99.

 

The next adventure path series of releases for Pathfinder, Kingmaker, will see its first three installments released in early 2010. Designed for beginning characters, the six-part scenario installs the heroes as defenders of a newly settled land who must fight off attacks both from within and without. The first three parts of the six-part series release Feb. 17, March 17, and April 21; all are 96-page, full-color softcover volumes with an MSRP of $19.99.

 

The Pathfinder modules Realm of the Fellnight Queen (Jan. 20) and City of Golden Death (Feb. 24) are standalone adventures designed for mid-level characters. Each 32-page full-color softcover retails for $13.99.

 

Also on the release schedule are half a dozen supplements exploring differents aspect of the Pathfinder world in detail. The Pathfinder Companion books, Adventurer’s Armory and Gnomes of Golarion, give players a bunch of new equipment for their characters and provide essential insight into the secretive half-fey gnomes, respectively.  Both 32-page, full-color softcover releases hit stores Feb. 17 with an MSRP of $10.99.

 

Finally, the Pathfinder Chronicles line expands with four more utilitarian guides for Pathfinder players and GMs. The Council of Thieves Map Folio (Jan. 20; $14.99) is an essential guide to the city of Westcrown for any GM running players through the Council of Thieves adventure path. The NPC Guide (Feb. 17; $19.99) provides dozens of fleshed-out NPCs that can be placed into any campaign quickly and easily. Classic Treasures Revisited (March 17; $19.99) hearkens back to the old days of role-playing games, with descriptions of some of the genre’s most revered loot. Finally, the Faction Guide (April 21; $19.99) presents Pathfinder’s most influential organizations, from noble orders of knights to fanatic cults, complete with their greatest secrets and how the PCs can join – or oppose – each faction.
