Playroom Entertainment revealed the upcoming Magic Labyrinth game at the recent American International Toy Fair in New York.  Originally released by Drei Magier Spiele in Germany, it has received critical acclaim and won the Kinderspiel des Jahres 2009 award for the best new children’s game.

The Magic Labyrinth challenges players to navigate a hidden maze as they try to guide their wizard pawn to his magic symbol.  The unique feature of the game is the magnetic wizard pawns.  The pawn is connected to a metal ball beneath the game board, which in turn is placed on top of a hidden maze of wooden walls.  If a player makes a false move, the metal ball will fall, forcing the player to start over again.

Designed by Dirk Baumann, The Magic Labyrinth is a game of memory and planning suitable for children or families.  Players can adjust the difficulty of the game by increasing or decreasing the number of walls in the hidden maze.  This feature allows the game to continue to challenge players as they grow in age and experience.

Playroom Entertainment is producing this game in cooperation with the German publisher, and it will feature the high-quality components that have become the hallmark of German-produced titles.

The Magic Labyrinth, for 2 to 4 players ages 6 and up, will be released at the end of the second quarter at $30.00 MSRP.
