At last year’s Spiel fair in Essen, Polish game publisher Portal Publishing debuted 51st State, a multi-player card game set in a post-apocalyptic America. Toy Vault, Inc. has announced that it has acquired the rights to release a North American edition of the game, scheduled for March.

Set in the world of the Neuroshima RPG, 51st State pits factions of survivors of a devastating war against each other as they attempt to stockpile supplies, expand territory, and conquer their neighbors. The most successful faction will become the foundation of a new post-war society.

51st State was designed by Ignacy Trzewiczek (Witchcraft, Stronghold), one of Poland’s leading game designers, and features artwork by Mariusz Gandzel. It was released at the Essen fair last year, where it was well received. Toy Vault has updated and improved the rulebook, modified the component list, and introduced some new cards and game features for the North American edition.

The game includes 100 game cards and 198 cardboard tokens. The suggested retail price will be $39.99.
