Dan Barnett of Walt's Cards in Baltimore, Maryland read Scott Thorne's recent column comparing pre-releases from Wizards of the Coast and Konami (see "Rolling for Initiative--WotC Vs. Konami Pre-Releases") and had this to say.
Scott Thorne is entitled to complain of the rigorous data collection that slowed down registration for the Yu-Gi-Oh!: Storm of Ragnarok Sneak Peek Tournament. Given that the data collection consisted entirely of two questions: "Who are you?" and "How old are you?," with a subsidiary, "Is this your first tournament?" for those I didn't recognize; we did not find collection of such information unduly difficult.
