Spin Master’s Johnny O’Neal explained to ICv2 the major surprise that Redakai players have in store for attending the next round of organized league play (see “Redakai Sealed Pack Events”) in September: “Our first cycle of league play was great. We had over 300 stores participating.  We sent out free league kits to stores containing prize cards.  But for our second cycle of league play that starts in September, we want to have more exciting, cooler cards for premiums.  Some of the cards that will be available in the September league play are preview cards for our second Redakai release (see “Metacharged, The First Expansion for Redakai”), and one of them, the one that you get if you get all the other cards, the final completion card, is exclusive to league play.  You won’t be able to get it anywhere else for quite awhile.”

 

O’Neal went on to describe the card’s powers: “It’s a neuterative metanoid called ‘Metanoid Solar Plasma,’ which has the unique power to make your attacks unstoppable, which is something that the game hasn’t seen before.  It is a very powerful card.  It is going to be a very nice reward for players who participate in league play.  There are a couple of cards that are going to come out in that September league kit where that will be the first place that you will be able to get them until the Metacharged release comes out in October, but that particular card (Metanoid Solar Plasma) actually won’t be in a main set until some time next year.
