Arcane Tinmen has announced the upcoming release of a new entry-level product for The Spoils trading card game. The Two Player Starter Kit is designed for players new to the game.
Kimberly Maita described the new set when ICv2 caught up with her at Gen Con: “It provides the opportunity for 2 players to learn how to play The Spoils at a drastically reduced price.”
The kit will include two pre-constructed starter decks, ready to play, along with a 13-card bonus pack, a foil promo card, a map of the game terrain, and a single introductory rules sheet.
The Starter Kit is currently at the printer in China and will release as soon as it arrives in the US. The suggested retail price will be $19.99.
The Starter Kit was on sale in the booth at Gen Con at an introductory $5 price.
Arcane Tinmen acquired the rights to The Spoils after the previous publisher, Tenacious Games, declared it was going out of business two years ago. See “‘The Spoils CCG’ Revived.”
