In a situation with parallels in other categories, social and mobile games are not cannibalizing video game retail sales, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime argued at a recent conference, according to Gamasutra. Fils-Aime cited research that showed that the number of homes in which games were played went up from 67% to 72% in the last five months.
