The debut of the Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters cartoon series has been set for Saturday, June 2nd on Hasbro’s The Hub cable channel, and previews of the first three episodes of the series will be presented on The Hub on Saturday, May 5th.  Unlike the original Duel Masters anime, which was produced by Studio Hibari, the new Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters cartoon series is being produced by Hasbro (see "'Duel Masters': American Style").

Gary Hartle, who worked on The Mask and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cartoon series, is producing the new Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters cartoon series, which focuses on the adventures of Ray, a 14-year-old boy, who befriends creatures from another dimension and duels alongside them to save his friends (and maybe even the world).

First Kaijudo TCG Release
Wizards of the Coast (a Hasbro subsidiary) is hoping to create a new version of the Duel Masters Trading Card Game that will find favor here in the States, where an earlier iteration of the Duel Masters TCG failed to gain traction seven years ago (see "WotC Revives Duel Masters Franchise").  The original Duel Masters TCG was a big hit in the highly competitive Japanese TCG market (and it remains a top TCG property in Japan even today), and WotC is hoping that by tweaking the storyline of the cartoon and adding those elements to a new version of the Duel Masters TCG, the property will be able to find success here.

WotC is re-branding the new Duel Masters Trading Card Game as “Kaijudo,” and is launching its first Kaijudo TCG product, a limited edition Battle Deck on June 26th (see "'Kaijudo TCG'").
