Konami Digital Entertainment wrapped up its 2012 Championship Season at the YGO World Championships held earlier this month in Tokyo, now Konami is kicking off the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series season in Toronto, Canada, where the first YCS event of the new season will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on September 1st and 2nd. 
 
Pre-registration for the YCS Toronto main event from 3pm to 7pm on Friday, August 31st, and those who pre-register and present a Deck list will receive an exclusive YCS token card.  Saturday registration begins at 8am, two hours before the first round of the tournament at 10am.  All registrants will receive five Return of the Duellst booster packs for participating in the event.
 
In addition to the main tournament for experienced players, Konami will present "Dragon Duel" competitions for younger players.  The main event winner, the second and third place finishers, and the winners of Sunday’s two Public Event playoffs will all receive a new Ultra Rare YCS prize card, the exact nature of which will be announced at the event.
 
Those who finish in the top 16 will all receive an invitation to their 2013 World Championship Qualifier (in addition to other prizes).  If the number of participants in the event exceeds 513 Duelists, the first 32 finishers will get an invitation to their 2013 World Championship Qualifier.
