According to Variety, a third Dungeons and Dragons film is being planned by a division of Joel Silver's Silver Pictures, which is also making the second film in the series (see 'Dungeons and Dragons Film Sequel'). 

 

That second film, titled Dungeons & Dragons 2:  The Elemental Might, is now planned for a theatrical release in the U.S. next year, with a DVD release to follow.
