GAMA (The Game Manufacturers Association) has announced that attendance at this year's Origins game convention, which was held in Columbus, Ohio from June 30th through July 3nd, set a new record with 15,061 unique attendees.  The attendance was up over 1000 from last year's record-setting figure of 13,980 unique attendees.

Unlike many other organizations when it comes to calculating attendance GAMA tracks unique badges -- a person who purchases a four-day badge to a GAMA event like Origins counts as one unique attendee, not as four.
