WizKids is planning a second bounce back promotion in conjunction with its January release of MechWarrior Domination in order to help brick and mortar retailers compete with Internet discounters.  Customers who purchase eight MechWarrior Domination Booster Packs from brick and mortar retailers can send proof of purchase to WizKids in order to be enrolled in the MechWarrior Officer's Club.  Each club member will receive an exclusive Mech figure, a MechWarrior pin, a Membership Card, and the MechWarrior newsletter.  Club members will also be eligible to attend special Officer's Club events at conventions.

WizKids was very satisfied with the response to a similar 'Clixbricks' bounce-back promotion for its HeroClix CMG (see 'WizKids Plans HeroClix Promotion'), and has focused next on Mechwarrior because it believes that HeroClix and MechWarrior are the two games where brick and mortar retailers are most vulnerable to competition from Internet retailers.  The slightly different design for the promotion is based on its market research, which indicates that while HeroClix players tend to buy lots of figures all at once (hence the 12-booster pack brick), Mechwarrior fans' purchases are more spread out.  That's why the  MechWarrior bounce-back does not require simultaneous purchase of all eight booster packs.
