White Wolf is making it easier for retailers to run pre-release events for Legacies of Blood, the next expansion of the Vampire: The Eternal Struggle (VTES) collectible card game. In the past retailers have had to have an official White Wolf volunteer (known as a 'prince') in order to run one of these pre-release events that allow retailers and their best customers to get the product before the actual release.  The 6-8 hour events are typically held on the weekend prior to the actual worldwide release of the new expansion.  The change in policy means that White Wolf is not requiring that a retailer have a White Wolf volunteer to run a Legacies of Blood introductory event.

White Wolf is also offering two different pre-release kits -- one, the Introductory Pre-Release Kit, is designed for retailers running their very first VTES event, while the Deluxe Pre-Release Kit is tailored for retailers with an established group of VTES players.  The Introductory Pre-Release Kit (retail price $187.56) is designed for eight players and it includes 8 starter decks and 36 booster packs from the Legacies of Blood set and assorted promotional items to be given away as prizes.  The Deluxe Pre-Release Kit (retail price $375.12) is designed for sixteen players and includes 16 starter decks and 84 booster packs as well as a VTES long-sleeve t-shirt featuring the classic tri-snake symbol on the chest.  The t-shirt and 12 of the boosters arrive at no charge to be used as prizes.

In other White Wolf news, ICv2 has learned that White Wolf, which has resurrected three of its World of Darkness RPGs (Mage, Vampire, and Werewolf), will add a fourth World of Darkness game by the end of 2006 -- but this game will be entirely new and not based on one of the previous White Wolf games from the pre-Time of Judgment era.
