Wizards of the Coast has declared November 5th as the second annual Worldwide Dungeons and Dragons Game Day, and expects even more than the 25,000 gamers who came out to play during 2004's inaugural D&D day (see 'D&D Game Day Generates Press'). WotC is sponsoring D&D day in nearly 1000 hobby and toy stores around the globe including more than 700 in the U.S. and Canada. WotC is sending stores both promotional and game day kits. The game day kits include maps, miniatures and scenarios -- everything needed to present new adventures packed with fiendish monsters to slay, diabolical traps to overcome, and heroic stories to be boasted.
Players will need to bring a pen or pencil, paper and a set of dice that includes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 20-sided dice. Players can earn points when they sign up for D&D Rewards and the Roleplaying Game Association (RPGA) -- and while supplies last each player will receive a free Worldwide Game Day souvenir to add to their treasure trove. Souvenirs include D&D Miniatures, and a special D&D Campaign Card.
Storeowners who missed out on this year's event can sign up for the 2006 Worldwide Dungeons & Dragons Game Day via the WotC Website.
