Avalanche Press has announced that Liz Fulda is joining the company to head its marketing efforts, especially those outside the traditional hobby game industry. Fulda comes from the Sphinx Group, a sales and marketing consulting firm that she founded. Sphinx clients include Dork Storm Press and eleven game publishers, including Corsair Publishing, ProFantasy Software, Eden Studios, and Hogshead Publishing. Prior to founding the Sphinx Group in August 2000, Fulda worked for Guardians of Order, Precedence Entertainment, and was a brand manager for Diamond Comic Distributors, where she handled games and apparel. Avalanche publishes board, card and roleplaying games, and is known for historical games and d20 supplements. Sphinx is apparently going to continue without Fulda, who said in the announcement that Sphinx has '...the infrastructure to handle our existing clients so I can help Avalanche Press reach its full potential.'
