The Anime Network has added the Right Stuf's 12-episode absurdist comedy Ninja Nonsense to its video-on-demand lineup starting on July 5th.  Based on the seinen manga by Ryoichi Koga (published in the U.S. by Infinity Studios), the Ninja Nonsense anime follows the wacky adventures of Shinobu, an inept ninja trainee, and manages to parody the overblown seriousness of some high profile anime series along the way.  Both the humor and the character design (chunky cylindrical characters rather than the willowy bishoujo types that are so common) in this series are distinctive and fresh.

Although ADV's massive library remains the core of the Anime Network's offerings, ADV's Anime Network has brought in additional series from a variety of other anime sources through the years including Boogiepop Phantom from RightStuf, Risky Safety from AnimeNation, Chobits from Geneon and Slayers from CPM.
