Breygent Marketing is producing a series of trading cards based on the cult hit TV show Dexter that appears on the Showtime premium cable channel.  Breygent expects to release its Dexter Trading Cards by June.

Based on the novel Dexter Dreaming Darkly by Jeff Lindsay, the Dexter TV series was developed by Jeff Manos, Jr., and features one of the most intriguing characters on television, Dexter Morgan, a serial killer who works for the forensic unit of the Miami Police Department, and who only kills bad guys.  The series, which was recently renewed by Showtime for both a fourth and fifth 12-episode season, gained some new viewers (and created considerable controversy) when it was broadcast on CBS during the writers’ strike in 2008.

Breygent’s Dexter Trading Card series will include autographs (including that of Michael C. Hall who plays Dexter), costume and prop cards.  There will be 2 costume cards per box plus random autograph and prop cards as well as 3 different foil chase card sets and one random sketch card.  The six-card Dexter Trading Card Packs come packaged 24 to a box with 12 boxes per case.  The wholesale cost of a case is $640.

This week Breygent is releasing a 72-card series of Classic Vintage Movie Poster Cards that includes some very cool cut autograph cards.  Prior to its announcement of Dexter Trading Cards, Breygent had specialized in producing nostalgia-rich card series based on prime Hollywood properties such as The Wizard of Oz, The Threes Stooges, and iconic film actor John Wayne.
