Director Bryan Singer has been busily revealing information about BOTH of the next two X-Men movies. The only scene featuring Anna Paquin as Rogue in X-Men: Days of Future Past did not make the final cut of the movie and will probably only be seen as a DVD extra, Singer told EW. Paquin had been added to Days of Future Past as one of the X:Men: The Last Stand cast members brought in to tie the mythology together (see "Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, & Shawn Ashmore Return to the X-Fold"). X-Men: Days of Future Past is due out May 23, 2014.
And Singer is already tossing out more nuggets about X-Men: Apocalypse, the just-revealed 2016 X-Men film (see "'First Class' in 'X-Men Apocalypse'"). He posted a picture of a story conference for the film on Twitter, showing Simon Kinberg, who seems to have a hand in all of Fox’s comic-based films, and Dan Harris and Mike Dougheerty, who worked with Singer on X2: X-Men United. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released May 27, 2016.
