Mark Hamill has been cast as The Trickster in the CW series The Flash, according to Hitfix. This brings Hamill back to the role he played in the 1990/1991 TV series (see "'The Flash' DVD Set Out in January"). John Wesley Shipp, who played Barry Allen/the Flash in the 90s series, was also cast in a role in the new series (see "Comic TV Casting News").
According to a character description published by Hitfix, "In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry and Det. West to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster."
