Renegade Game Studios announced plans to release a new edition of the family racing game Snow Tails in August.
Designed by Fragor Games’ Gordon and Fraser Lamont (Shear Panic, The 3 Commandments), the dog-sled racing game was originally released in 2008, and was nominated for or won many family board game awards, including being named to Games Magazine’s Games 100 (see "Hobby Games in 'Games 100'"). Renegade’s new edition will feature new artwork by Beth Sobel.
The game board is made of modular track pieces that fit together to form different courses. Players use their Dog Decks to move their sleds down the course, but because of the original movement mechanism, sleds will drift left or right. Going too fast around a corner or losing control may result in Dent cards being acquired, which limit the player’s hand size.
The game is for 2-5 players, ages 10 and up, and takes 45-60 minutes to play. Tentative MSRP is $55.00.
