The live-action adaptation of Joe Casey and Chris Burnham’s Officer Downe graphic novel has added four supporting cast members to the indie feature which will star Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy) as the LA supercop who won’t stay dead, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lauren Velez (Dexter, Oz)will play Police Chief Berringer, Reno Wilson (Mike & Molly) will play Officer Carter, Tyler Ross (The Killing) will play Officer Gable, and Bruno Gunn will play Officer Fritch. The movie will be directed and produced by Slipknot’s M. Shawn Crahan.
Officer Downe was released by Image Comics’ "Man of Action" imprint in 2010, and followed that with the hardcover release Officer Downe: Bigger, Better Bastard Edition in 2011, which contained new story pages.
