X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer confirmed there are potential plans for a crossover between Fox’s X-Men and Fantastic Four film franchises.

In a recent video Q&A with Yahoo! Movies, Singer was asked if there were plans with Simon Kinberg for an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover.  “That would be a natural mash-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a mechanism by which to do it. I don’t’ want to give it away, It deals a little with time.  That’s all I’m going to say.”

He then added “But we have to see how the films turn out.  How this film turns out, how Fantastic Four plays, to really understand what kind of desire   - and how that would really work. I think to just say you’re going to do it is kinda a mistake. I think you have to really see how the films evolve before you make that decision to completely commit to that.  But there are those ideas in play. “

Fantastic Four releases in theaters on August 7 (see “See Doctor Doom in New 'FF' Trailer”). X-Men: Apocalypse will release on May 27, 2016 (see “First Apocalypse & Psylocke 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Pics”).
