Game Salute will be releasing reprints of Richard Breese and Sebastian Bleasdale’s Keyflower board game along with both expansions: Keyflower: The Merchants and Keyflower: The Farmers. This will be the first time that Keyflower: The Merchants will be made available to U.S. distribution. All three products will release in November.

Game Salute acquired the rights for a U.S. version of Keyflower in 2013 (see “‘Princess Bride’ Games”). The game uses a combination of worker placement, resource management, and bidding mechanics with a medieval theme.
Keyflower: The Merchants adds new mechanics to the game, including “contracts” that offer a new way to score points, but which can instead be traded for game resources. Buildings in player’s villages can also be expanded through the use of “cabins” to increase their point value.
Keyflower: The Farmers explores agriculture within the game, offering new farm buildings and the ability to grow wheat and breed animals. Players must compete for grazing space for their animals, creating new opportunities to score points.
Both expansions can be used separately or together, and require the base game to play. MSRP for each expansion is $50.00. The reprint was funded through a Kickstarter campaign that raised $121,033 from 2,041 backers ($59.30/backer average).
