Lucasfilm will partner with seven brands for promotional campaigns tied to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the company announced Thursday. All of the brands will launch custom creative campaigns that "complement the tempo and tone" of the overall marketing campaign for the film. The brands’ activities will have a collective diverse global reach, Lucasfilm said.
The seven brands are:
- Covergirl and Max Factor (see gallery below)
- Duracell
- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
- General Mills
- HP
- Subway
- Verizon
The combined weight of the promotional campaigns, along with the studio’s own marketing for the film, is likely to be massive.
The studio is also ramping up its release of images and video from the film (see "New Images from 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'"), generating a lot of media attention.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18 (see "Best in Shows – Q4 2015").
