Hasbro CEO Steven J. Davis participated in a Q&A at MIPCOM in which he revealed that four more Transformers sequels (that would be #s 5-8) are planned, as part of a ten year plan for films tied to the franchise, according to Variety.  Decade-long plans for TV and digital are also in the works, Davis said.

The long-range work on developing the narrative on multiple platforms is the result of an all-star writers room assembled to work on the property.  Scripts for two movies (including Transformers 5) have already been ordered (see “First Two Movies from ‘Transformers’ Writers Room”).
