Calliope Games will release two new card games just in time for the holidays:  12 Days and Thieves!

12 Days is a Christmas-themed card game designed by fan-favorites James Ernest and Mike Selinker and illustrated by Echo Chernik.  This trick-taking game was inspired by the classic carol “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” and uses the various gifts from the song as the cards.  The game is for 3 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about 15 minutes.  MSRP is $12.00.

12 Days was originally published in 2013 by Gamesmith, and was featured in an episode of Wil Wheaton’s TableTop web show.  The Calliope version will feature upgraded components and a sturdier box than the earlier version, along with clarified rules, but the game itself remains unchanged.

Thieves! is the creation of Dutch game designer Richard de Rijk.  In this game players try to outbluff the rest of their gang as they scramble to grab as much loot as they can before the last getaway car pulls out and the cops show up.  Thieves! is for 3 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.  MSRP is $10.00.
