Barnes & Noble will display Double Take’s 10-comic Super Packs in its graphic novel section, Double Take announced.  The Super Packs, distributed and sampled in the comic shop channel (see “Double Take Shares ‘Super Pack’ Box Sets”), contain one copy each of the ten comics in the Double Take line, all set in the Night of the Living Dead universe. The package was developed as a way to allow display either on the counter, or in a way that was economical of shelf space in the graphic novel section (see “ICv2 Interview:  Double Take’s Bill Jemas, Part 1”).

The total buy was 7,600 Super Packs, according to Double Take, which will be displayed in all 647 Barnes & Noble stores.  This is an experiment for B&N in displaying specially packaged periodical comics in the graphic novel section, and the package was key to the buy, according to former Marvel COO Bill Jemas, who’s running the Double Take imprint for Grand Theft Auto and Bioshock publisher Take Two Interactive.  Barnes & Noble has also committed to taking the first Double Take graphic novels in the spring.
