A CGC 9.6 copy of X-Men #1 was sold privately via ComicLink’s online marketplace, Comic Book Exchange, on February 19 for $350,000.

A copy of X-Men #1 that was CGC-graded 9.8 sold at a 2012 auction for $492,900, but no other 9.6 example has ever commanded a price to rival this latest sale. CGC has certified 3,285 known examples of X-Men #1 exist worldwide. Of those, three are in 9.6 condition. Only two have been graded 9.8 by the independent third-party Certified Guaranty Company (CGC).
