Dynamite Entertainment made several announcements at Emerald City Comic Con which we round up here.
Following their run on James Bond: VARGR (see “Warren Ellis Penning 'James Bond' Comic”), Warren Ellis and Jason Masters will return to tell the next chapter of James Bond’s exploits in Eidolon in June. After WWII, army intelligence officers created ghost cell “stay-behinds” across Europe in case of a Warsaw Pact surge. Now one of those ghost cells of SPECTRE loyalists has been awakened to try to reform SPECTRE.
In 2014, Dynamite released the first ever Dawn crossover in Joseph Michael Linsner’s Dawn/Vampirella (see “Dynamite Announces 'Dawn/Vampirella' Crossover”). Now the publisher will release a 144-page deluxe hardcover featuring a new introduction and new bonus material by Linsner as well as an afterword by Kristina Deak-Linsner. The release will arrive in June with an MSRP of $24.99. A limited-edition signed variant will also be available. Garth Ennis and Craig Cermak are returning to Red Team (see “Garth Ennis' 'Red Team'”) for a new run through Manhattan’s mean streets in Red Team: Double Tap, Center Mass. Picking up a year after the events in the last series, Red Team survivors Eddie Mellinger and Trudy Giroux are kept on small-time cases and considered a political liability. But then a case in the ghetto leads to something bigger, but it means going outside the law to get evidence, a move that nearly got them killed last time. The new series launches on July 20.Dynamite also announced the new The Art of Atari retrospective (see “'The Art of Atari' Video Game Retrospective”).
