Alexndro Jodorowsky’s The Metabaron see the return of the greatest warrior in the universe, a man who once single-handedly bright the Techno-Techno Empire to its knees. The new regime has seized control of the empire by controlling the galaxy’s precious Epiphyte fuel. Now the Metabaron is heading towards the source of Epiphyte, intent to save the universe from tyranny once again. But the empire has dispatched The Techno-Admiral to stop him. The 112-page oversized deluxe edition is written by Jodorowsky and Jerry Frissen, with art by Valentin Secher. Release is planned for October. MSRP is $29.95.
Carthago is written by Chrisophe Bec, with art by Eric Henninot and Milan Jovanovic. The story follows oceanographer Kim Melville, who tracks the prehistoric megalodon, which has been unleashed on the world by deep sea drilling. Mankind thought them extinct, but they have not only survived deep in the ocean, they’ve thrived, and now may reclaim their place at the top of the food chain. The 284-page hardcover trade has an MSRP of $24.95. Release is planned for September. For mature audiences, Humanoids is releasing Milo Manara’s The Golden Ass. The erotic story follows the adventures of young Lucius, who is transformed into a donkey and subjected to a life of wandering and all the unpleasant circumstances that entails. Also releasing in August is Brussli: Way of the Dragon Boy. Written by J-L Fonteneau, with art by J. Etienne, the tale tells of Brussli, a beak-faced boy who is bullied by the village children. Curious about his true origin, the “dragon boy” sets off on a quest to find out where he came from. The 164-page hardcover has an MSRP of $19.95. In November, Humanoids will release Pandora’s Eyes, by screenwriter Vincenzo Cerami (Life is Beautiful). The book is co-authored by Francesco Gaston, with art by Milo Manara. The tale follows Pandora, who lives with her adoptive parents in Europe. She suddenly is told her real father may be a terrible mob boss, and then she is kidnapped and taken to Turkey where she must confront her past and find out the motivations of those close to her. The 64-page oversized hardcover has an MSRP of $24.95.
