Portal Games will release Tides of Madness, a new version of Kristian Curla’s card-drafting micro game Tides of Time for Gen Con

Designed by Curla using the same card-drafting and set-collection mechanics as his earlier title, Tides of Madness introduces new systems representing insanity in the game.  Players must now consider their “Madness Level” during each round, with more powerful cards inflicting greater amounts of madness.  Players who collect too much madness automatically lose the game.

Tides of Madness is a stand-alone game separate from Tides of Time.  It is designed for 2 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.  The game includes 18 large-format cards, 20 madness tokens, score pad, and pencil.  MSRP is $12.00.
