Dynamite Entertainment announced dark fantasy author Caitlin Kittredge will write the new Grimm comic book series and a new comic series following web-celebrity dog Boo.
The Grimm series will be written by Kittredge (Coffin Hill), with art by Maria Sanapo (DC Comics Bombshells). The story will be set within the continuity of Grimm’s fourth season, and will explore the lives of the program’s fan-favorite female characters: Juliette, Adalind, Truble, and Rosalee. Juliette’s struggle to come to terms with being a Hexenbiest conflicts with a new Wessen threat, and she must turn to her hated enemy Adalind for help. Release is slated for September.
Dynamite will also be releasing a value-priced omnibus of all the previously published comics in the Grimm Omnibus. The series is written by show creators David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, as well as show writers Marc Gaffen and Kyle McVey. The entire 2013-2014 Grimm comic book series (issues #0-12) is collected together, assembled for the first time along with the Portland, Wu one-shot special and The Warlock miniseries. Release is slated for September.
Boo – The World’s Cutest Dog ™ who has more than 17.5 million Facebook fans and over 600,000 Instagram followers will now star in his own comic book series.
The Pomeranian will be joined by his canine companions Buddy and Bluebeary Pie in adventures that involve kitchen chaos, a Hollywood movie audition and a birthday party. For the first issue, Dynamite will release four different covers: covers A, B, and C are illustrated by My Little Pony artists Katie Cook, Agnes Garbowska, and Tony Fleecs respectively; Cover D is illustrated by Grumpy Cat artist Steve Uy. A special subscription only cover will feature a photo of Boo. Release is slated for September.
