Originally released by TSR in 1990, Battle of Britain pits the pilots of the RAF against the bombers of the German Luftwaffe intent on bombing Britain into submission. The RAF player deploys their limited fighter squadrons in an effort to protect the cities, industry, and airfields of England long enough to outlast the German attack. The Luftwaffe player meanwhile must limit losses to their aircraft while inflicting enough damage to force the British surrender.
This updated version features streamlined dogfighting rules for quicker play and introduces elite ace fighter squadrons, and multiple scenarios offering different length playing times ranging from 1 to 4 hours. The game includes 1 game board, 19 plastic model airplanes sculpted by the Plastic Soldier Company, 1 sheet of labels for the aircraft bases, 7 air unit displays, 1 production track, 212 cards, 109 tokens and markers, and 12 dice. MSRP is $80.00. PSC is funding the production of Battle of Britain through a Kickstarter campaign that has collected more than $70,000 in pledged support from more than 750 backers, with 15 days remaining in the campaign. The campaign does include a retailer-only support package. PSC expects to ship backer fulfillment next February, with release into the trade to follow.Release Planned for March
