Hasbro Inc. has partnered with Broadway producing and merchandising company the Araca Group to produce a stage show based on the board game Clue.
According to Deadline, Clue will be adapted by writer/director Jonathan Lynn from his 1985 Paramount Pictures adaptation. The production will be produced in partnership with Work Light Productions and Aged in Wood, under license from Hasbro and Paramount. The stage production will premiere at Pennsylvania’s Bucks County Playhouse in May, followed by a U.S. national tour.
Hasbro partnered with Araca Group this summer for a planned musical based on Monopoly (see “Hasbro's 'Monopoly' Comes to Broadway”).
Hasbro and 20th Century Fox partnered this summer to remake Clue the movie (see “Hollywood Remake Planned for 'Clue' Movie”).
