Passport Game Studios will release Polish game company Granna Games’ CVLization on November 11.
CVLizations is a hand management / civilization building game designed by Jan Zalewski (Andromeda). CVLization theme and game play are similar to Granna’s CV (see “'Tokaido: Matsuri,' 'Apollo XIII,' 'Titan Race,' More”). Players take the role of a leader of a tribe, charged with the task of “writing” its CV (Curriculum Vitae/resume). Players choose which orders to give and which inventions, tools, buildings, and ideologies to cultivate. Every turn, each player chooses two order cards, and the strength of the action depends on how many other players also choose that action. Players manage resources to develop ideas, and the player who collects the most happiness points for their society wins.
The game is for 2 – 5 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 – 60 minutes. MSRP is $35.00.
