Marvel has finally revealed the creative team behind the first ongoing solo series for the publisher’s coolest mutant, Iceman.
Iceman will be written by Sina Grace (All-New X-Men, Self-Obsessed) and drawn by Alessandro Vitti (Secret Warriors, Avengers Arena). The very first solo series for the character, it will center on the globetrotting adventures of an adult Bobby Drake as he learns more about himself, his abilities, and the immense potential of his mutant power.
A specific release date was not announced, but the first issue of Iceman is due in spring 2017.
Iceman was among several titles teased in October (see "Marvel Teases 'ResurrXion'"). Bobby Drake will also appear in X-Men Blue, which debuts in April (see "'X-Men Gold' and 'X-Men Blue' Revealed"). Both titles are part of Marvel’s "RessurXion" initiative, which spins out of the events of Inhumans Vs. X-Men (see "'Inhumans Vs. X-Men'").
