Modiphius Entertainment is asking retailers to join the “living campaign” playtest of its upcoming 2017 release Star Trek Adventures RPG.

Originally announced in July, the playtest program was launched at Gen Con (see “‘Star Trek Adventures’ RPG, Miniatures”).  Now they are setting up a system for retailers to participate.  These retailers will be called “Retail Starbases,” and will be added to a Star Trek Adventures retail locator system launching in January, which is intended to guide players to stores where events will be held.

A retailer pack, shipping in February, will include a Star Trek Adventures window cling and posters.  Stores that wish to be part of the living campaign or hold demo games in their store will also receive scenarios and instructions for running these events.

Beginning in May and running for three months before the game’s launch next summer, Modiphius plans to run a retailer pre-order campaign, using the Retail Starbase theme and retail locator to drive players to participating stores to place their pre-orders, then continue to support the program to help new players find participating stores after the launch.
