Andrews McMeel’s AMP! Comics for Kids imprint has shared details on its Spring 2017 releases, including new titles for Big Nate, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, and Peanuts.

Lincoln Peirce’s Big Nate series is wildly popular (see “Top 10 Kids/Tweens GN Franchises--Spring 2016”), even after 25 years (see “'Big Nate' Turns 25”). Big Nate: What’s a Little Noogie Between Friends? has the feisty 11-year-old facing soccer matches, a movie date with Gina, and the loss of his dream girl, who is moving 3,000 miles away.  The 176-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 8 to 12. Release is planned for February 28. MSRP is $9.99.

Unicorn Crossing: Another Phoebe and Her Unicorn Adventure by Dana Simpson will release on March 28. Phoebe and Marigold experience spooky Halloween parties, snow days, and summer reading assignments. The 176-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 7 to 12. MSRP is $9.99.

Snoopy to the Rescue: A Peanuts Collection collects Charles M. Schulz stories staring Snoopy, as he helps the Peanuts gang through various misadventures. The 176-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 8 to 12. Release is planned for March 14. MSRP is $9.99.

The Adventures of Kung Fu Robot: How to Make a Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Kung Fu Sandwich by Jason Bays details the adventures of a nine-foot red robot who loves kung fu, his human sidekick, android ninjas, and a crazy chicken bent on world domination. The book features a free interactive companion app which allows readers to access augmented images on their mobile device. The 208-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 7 to 12. Kid Beowulf: The Blood-Bound Oath is the second graphic novel in Alexis E. Fajardo’s adaptation of the classic Beowulf poem. Twin brothers Beowulf and Grendel travel to meet their Uncle Holger in France, but they arrive to find the kingdom in shambles. They must work together to unite the country before the Saracen horde invades. The 280-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 7 to 14. Release is planned for February 28. MSRP is $12.99.

Tucker Grizzwell’s Worst Week Ever by Bill Schorr and Ralph Smith follows the daily trials and tribulations of middle school grizzly cub Tucker Grizzwell. His week at school is going horribly, and what’s worse, he’s due to attend the Jaws & Claws weekend with his father this weekend, where he’s supposed to learn how to be a terrifying predator. The 248-page trade paperback is recommended for ages 9 to 11. Release is planned for April 4. MSRP is $9.99.
