Each box contains 25 opaque black polybagged comics. The assortment is made up of 17 all-new 2017 series and limited edition variant covers that are exclusive to the blind boxes. Image will release 1,992 blind boxes, memorializing the company’s founding in 1992. The blind boxes will arrive in stores on July 19.

Each box will include a randomized mix of the following variants:

• 25th Anniversary variant cover
• B&W 25th Anniversary cover
• Virgin 25th Anniversary cover 
• Virgin B&W 25th Anniversary cover 
• Blank wraparound sketch cover
• Extremely rare sketch covers drawn by each series artists (25 copies per series of the 17 selected launches)
• Exclusive The Walking Dead: Here’s Negan! #1 -- the first 24 pages of Negan's origin story printed in single-issue-format for the first and only time (limited to 500 copies)

Retailers can sell the blind box variants as they see fit -- individually, as a set, and so on. The blind box unfolds into a counter display that can be used to showcase the comics.

The blind boxes come in addition to specially priced titles (see “Retailers Order Over 700,000 of the 25 Cent 'The Walking Dead'”) and variant covers that the company is releasing in conjunction with their 25th anniversary (see “Image Reveals Women's History Month Variants”).
