In Q3 this year, Fantasy Flight Games will release a new version of its vampire-themed deduction game Blood Bound.  The new set will feature all new artwork and upgraded graphics.

Originally released in 2013 (see “‘Blood Bound’ Board Game”), Blood Bound explores a conflict between two secret vampire groups, each trying to eliminate the opposing leader.  The catch is that at the beginning, nobody knows which side the other players are on.  Using deduction and bluffing, they must identify and capture the opposing leader.

The game proved popular with critics, earning a place on the coveted Kennerspiel des Jahres “Recommended” list in 2014, which recognizes the best new “gamer games” from the previous year.

Fantasy Flight’s new version of the game does not change any of the gameplay or mechanics.  Only the graphics and artwork have been updated.  The game is intended for 6 to 12 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in under half an hour.  MSRP is $19.95.
