Danish toy manufacturer Liontouch is now offering its line of soft foam fantasy costume accessories to the United States through Hotaling Imports and Golden Distribution.

Intended for all ages, Liontouch offers a variety of weapons, shields, and headgear manufactured from soft, flexible foam for safety.  Clothing items aimed at children, such as capes, vests, and dresses, are also produced by the company.  The product line offers fantasy and historical themes, including popular favorites like pirates, princes and princesses, Vikings, and the Wild West.  Prices for individual items vary.

Liontouch also offers an array of pre-packed displays for the line, including a $215 SRP shield rack with 16 shields, a $249 SRP foam sword display with two each of 15 different swords, a double-sided self-standing armory display (SRP $1,599) that comes with a variety of weapons, shields, and capes, a smaller 82-piece armory display at SRP $799, and a large sword rack with ten each of 11 different swords and an SRP of $895.

Soft foam fantasy weapons have been a growing trend in costume accessories.  Factory Entertainment also announced new additions for its SWAT (“Soft Weapons And Tactics”) line of soft toys at this year’s Toy Fair (see “‘DC Comics,’ ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Marvel,’ ‘Game of Thrones,’ More”).
