New York Comic Con News: IDW Publishing and Lucasfilm have announced the January 2018 debut of Star Wars Adventures: Forces of Destiny, a 5-issue weekly miniseries, which continues IDW’s line of all-ages Star Wars comics (see “IDW to Produce Star Wars Kids Comics”).
To tell exciting new stories featuring Star Wars characters such as Leia, Rey, Padme, Ahsoka, and Hera, IDW has assembled a team of top flight female writers including Delilah S. Dawson, Elsa Charretier, Beth Revis, Jody Houser, and Devin Grayson. Charretier, Arianna Florean, Eva Widermann, Valentina Pinto, and Nicoletta Baldari will also provide cover art, with Charretier creating five interconnecting variants that combine to create one iconic Forces of Destiny image.
IDW recently announced a Star Wars Adventures adaptation of the popular Rogue One movie (see “IDW Goes Rogue One”).
