Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment will release Batman: Gotham By Gaslight, a new feature-length animated film, in early 2018.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is inspired by the oneshot “Elseworlds” comic by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola in 1989 that sees a Victorian era Batman fighting serial killer Jack the Ripper. Voice actor Bruce Greenwood (American Crime Story, iRobot, Batman: Under the Red Hood) reprises his role as Batman. Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter, Limitless) voices Selina Kyle. Producer Sam Liu (Batman and Harley Quinn, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract) directs the script written by Jim Krieg (Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox).

The film will arrive on digital ($19.99 HD, $14.99 SD) on January 23; with Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack ($39.99), Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98) and DVD ($19.98) releasing on February 6.

Set at the turn of the century during the industrial revolution, Gotham City is hosting the World’s Fair. But a killer is preying on the city’s women, and Police Commissioner James Gordon is at a loss. Then the masked vigilante Batman enters the picture, with the help of Selina Kyle.
